You intend to
bless, not burden.
Managing a trust should be simple, but too often it’s anything but. Beneficiaries can find themselves tangled in red tape, forced to navigate confusing legal processes, or left waiting as their calls are shuffled from one department to another. What should be a straightforward process turns into a burden.
At Scout Advocacy, we believe that managing a trust should reflect the care and generosity with which it was created. We remove the barriers that cause frustration, ensuring your beneficiaries receive what you intended, without unnecessary hassle.
We handle every aspect of trust management with equal parts diligence & compassion.
Services can include:
day-to-day operations
asset management & distribution
investment oversight
tax planning & filing
compliance & legal matters
beneficiary communication & support
record keeping & reporting
trustee succession planning

You might still be wondering…
How can I ensure that you'll administer the trust appropriately?
We are proud of our 70 years of experience in this business and the hundreds of satisfied clients and families we serve. We are committed to understanding your wishes and to following all legal and financial guidelines when we are named as trustee. We’ll check in by phone or in person annually to see if any details of the trust have changed.
What is your process for handling disputes among beneficiaries?
In matters involving family members and beneficiaries, it’s not unusual to have some conflict. As a trustee, Scout Advocacy can be a neutral voice, navigating any disagreements with empathy, while following all legal and financial directives of the trust.
What if this is a very complicated situation?
If your situation is complex, it is especially important to have a knowledgeable trustee to navigate all the details of your trust! We have a professional staff who has encountered a large variety of complicated trusts, and that knowledge is invaluable when faced with an issue.
How do you ensure compliance with legal and tax requirements?
The team at Scout Advocacy includes legal and financial experts who understand all relevant requirements and will ensure compliance with all necessary entities.
What happens if the three owners of Scout Advocacy are no longer with the company?
It is important to us that Scout Advocacy outlives our three founding partners, and we are continuously raising up leaders within our business who will maintain the same dedication to our clients that we have.
What sets you apart from other trustees?
Unlike banks, who are often chosen to manage trusts, we are more personal and more experienced in the role of advocate. We are often less expensive, as well, since our fee is charged on an hourly basis, rather than being a percentage of an estate. For this reason, we are also able to service smaller trusts than banks can.
